TCPA Annual Conference – ‘Facing the Future’ – the implications for planning our places

November 21, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

With changing demographics, climate change, digital technologies and data now widely accepted as key drivers of future change, we need to think differently about how we plan to accommodate changes in how we live, work, move, shop and learn. The TCPA’s 2019 annual conference will focus on the implications of future change for planners and those involved in creating our environment, from digital masterplans and smart energy infrastructure to the future of public consultation. As we consider the places of tomorrow, we will also contemplate the consequences of an over reliance on technology and automated decision-making, and the sorts of unpredictable vulnerabilities it may bring.

The conference will showcase high-profile speakers from the public and private sectors, including policy makers and politicians from national and local government, developers, consultants, academics, community leaders and many others.

Further details to follow.
