UK Poverty 2022: The essential guide to understanding poverty in the UK

January 19, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

What is the picture of poverty in the UK at the start of 2022, coming up to two years after a global pandemic struck? How far has the pandemic changed the reality of those at risk of poverty? Who has been well supported and now has better prospects? Who is facing deep and persistent poverty?

REGISTER FOR THE WEBINAR

Although we don’t yet have official poverty data covering the pandemic period, many sources make it clear that while some groups have been well supported and face better prospects as we exit the pandemic, others face deep and persistent poverty. These include many of the groups most at risk of poverty before the pandemic.Join us on the 19th January 2022 to discuss these questions and many more when we review JRF’s flagship annual UK Poverty Report, which looks comprehensively at trends in poverty across all its characteristics and impacts. The content of this statistical report is shaped by people with direct experience of poverty. The JRF Grassroots Poverty Action Group represents communities from across the UK, including lone parents, disabled people and unpaid carers who worked with JRF analysts directing them to the issues that most affect people living in poverty. All attendees will be sent a copy of the report.
