The London Child Poverty Summit 2019
October 17, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Childhood Trust and the London Child Poverty Alliance invite you to attend the 2nd London Child Poverty Summit.
Please join us for an impactful one-day summit, bringing together those who work with and care about London’s disadvantaged children and young people.
The summit being held during London’s Challenge Poverty week will feature:
- Keynote speeches by the Children’s Commissioner for England, Anne Longfield OBE and Debbie Weekes-Bernard, the Deputy Mayor for Social Integration, Social Mobility and Community Engagement.
- Presentations and thought leadership from leading London child poverty experts
- Panel discussions and debate with local government representatives, think tanks, charity leaders, project workers and young people affected by poverty in London
- Networking opportunities
- Lunch and Refreshments
The summit is a response to increasing levels of child poverty in the capital and aims to bring together those working with and taking responsibility for supporting London’s disadvantaged children and young people to explore the causes, consequences and solutions for child poverty.
The event will provide an open forum to share and discuss the experiences of child poverty alongside project workers, third sector leaders and other stakeholders. There will be opportunities during the summit to network with delegates from a wide variety of organisations and funding bodies so we encourage frontline staff, project directors, trustees and charity leaders to attend.
