Talking about poverty in the media

August 22, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Winning hearts and minds in the fight against poverty.

This session will explore public attitudes towards poverty and share the latest research on how to build support for the solutions to tackle it. It will be full of practical tips you can employ to effectively win hearts and minds. The insights are based on research undertaken by the Frameworks Institute who interviewed 20,000 people across the UK and tested different ways of talking about poverty. The morning will also include an optional 45 minutes of entry level media and social media training at the end.

By signing up to the training you agree to complete a short online evaluation (2 mins) both immediately after the event and one month after the event to help us asses the impact.

Please note these trainings are typically oversubscribed so please let us know if you need to cancel and we can give someone else a place.

If you need to contact anyone regarding this event, including queries regarding accessibility please email frances.rayner@povertyalliance.org
