Spend analysis
March 24, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
About this Event
In this practical session you will be guided through how to use the CLES spend analysis template to turn your procurement data into an insightful piece of analysis.
This analysis will help your organisation to better understand its procurement spend and identify a series of opportunities to boost the positive local impact your organisations spend can bring. You will be provided with a MS Excel template and a “how to” guide, which covers all the steps, checks and tips to ensure that you are able to produce robust data sets and analysis independently in the future.
Who’s it for?
This training is for anyone who works in an organisation, has access to procurement data and wants to understand more about where their spend goes, to consider ways to demonstrate and enhance the social value they are generating through procurement. You don’t need to be a procurement professional, you could be working in a policy, leadership or related function or working as an adviser to an organisation.
Why attend?
This training will give you the tools to deliver an impact through procurement by creating an evidence base for where your organisational spend is going.
CLES works with a growing number of town, city, city-region and national governments to help them to uncover the power of procurement for their place. Over the last decade we have supported dozens of locations to diversify their supply chains, develop social value frameworks, change their procurement practices, communicate with suppliers, make procurement accessible and to measure the direct and indirect impacts of procurement on local economies. If you’d like to see case studies of our work, please visit our website.
Facilitators
This session will be led by one of the following CLES team members, who each bring first hand knowledge and experience of developing and progressive procurement strategies across the UK:
David Burch, Senior Researcher
Amanda Stevens, Senior Researcher
