JRF Hosts: Sir Vince Cable MP

October 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Ensuring work provides a route out of poverty is a shared goal of political parties across the spectrum.

However right now in the UK 2.8 million children and 2.6 million parents are in poverty despite someone in their household working. With the situation set to worsen further as Universal Credit is rolled out at scale from summer 2019, in-work poverty is becoming the problem of our age.

In advance of upcoming publication of the Autumn Budget, please join us in welcoming Sir Vince Cable MP as he delivers a major speech on how the party would seek to address this burgeoning problem, including action they would take to ensure Universal Credit better meets its goal of making work pay.
