At Nesta, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We dedicate our expertise, skills and funding to areas where there are big challenges facing society. 

We believe that by talking about the future we enhance people’s capacity to shape it. So we created FutureFest, our flagship event, in order to explore how the big challenges of our time could be tackled by empowering people to shape the future.

Nesta is based in the UK and supported by a financial endowment. We work with partners around the globe to bring bold ideas to life to change the world for good.

FutureFest is open to curious minds from any walk of life.

Whether you’re a sci-fi aficionado, an artist or a coder-in-the-making (or all three), FutureFest has something for everyone.

For changemakers or creative minds who want to keep on top of radical ideas, FutureFest dares to ask the most pressing questions about the future – challenging the status quo and imagining a better world.

For professionals who are tasked with solving social and public problems in their jobs (from businesses, civil society, governments, charities or academia), FutureFest is also an opportunity to debate and experience what their sectors could look like in the future, and explore new or surprising ways to solve problems.
