The Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Frameworks Institute, alongside other social change makers, are hosting a unique conference for campaigners on poverty related issues as they share their research and experience of how effective framing can shift the public narrative on poverty.
As a compassionate country that believes in justice and society, it can often seen wrong that campaigners have to work so hard to fight against a set of deeply-ingrained negative attitudes and narratives towards people in poverty. But, lesson number one from our research: know what you’re up against.
Join the JRF team and the Frameworks Institute as we share the findings of our major flagship study into the attitudes and beliefs surrounding UK poverty, and how strategic communications and storytelling can change them.
This unique event will bring together many campaigners and communicators each working on an issue, cause or consequence of UK poverty. We will be hosting a panel of case studies from industry leaders on how framing content and points of view has worked for them. Plus, we’ll be hosting a series of hands-on workshops providing tips and advice on how to put framing into practice.
